Build in Public

Build in Public

Create your own luck. The right opportunities find you when people understand what you're trying to achieve.

I used to think building in public was about showing off.

Look at my metrics. Check out my progress. Here's my revenue dashboard. The humble-brag disguised as transparency.

But I was completely wrong.

And yet. I keep watching founders who share their journey openly get the most incredible breaks. The perfect co-founder who reaches out after reading their blog. The customer who finds them through a Twitter thread. The investor who's been following their story for months.

It's not about the bragging. It's about creating luck.

When you build in public, you're not just sharing updates. You're broadcasting your intentions. You're letting the world know what you're trying to achieve, what problems you're wrestling with, what kind of help you need.

And the right opportunities find you.

Ask anyone who's made building in public work. They'll tell you about the serendipitous connections. The person who saw their post at exactly the right moment. The opportunity that found them instead of the other way around.

But here's what most people get wrong. They think it's about having something impressive to show. Perfect metrics. Polished updates. Success stories only.

The real magic happens when you share the struggles. The questions you can't answer. The problems you're trying to solve. That's when people who can actually help start paying attention.

Here's to those brave enough to think out loud. Smart enough to know that transparency is a magnet for the right kind of luck.

Share your journey!
